What is a Truck Driver?

Now many of you will think, okay this is a pointless article since everyone knows what a truck driver is, well then ask me this, what is a truck driver? There are several different names used in different countries for a truck driver. In the United States they are known as a trucker or a driver, in Australia and New Zealand they will be known as a truckie, and in the UK they are known as a lorry driver or a driver. These a people who will make their living transferring goods between cities for their income either driving a semi truck or dump truck.

Truck drivers are one of the most required services in the industrial field. If it wasn’t for a truck driver your local Tim Hortons or Starbucks would be unable to have their goods, if it wasn’t for a truck driver the cars used in the Nascar races wouldn’t get to the track, if it wasn’t for a truck driver the world wouldn’t run correctly. They are one of the most important services that will ever be able in the world today.

There are many different licences that will be required for someone to become a trucker. For this blog our main focus would have to be on the United Kingdoms truck driver laws. For a trucker in the UK they will be required to have their LGV licence which is also known as a Large Goods Vehicle licence, or also the HGV licence which is a Heavy Goods Vehicle licence. These are very similar licences and at least one of these will be required for you to drive a truck.

Now that we’ve come to terms that we didn’t know what a truck driver actually was you have now been informed. Truck drivers are the way of our future and are required to get us and our goods anywhere in the world. Over the years I have heard many truckers talking about what it was actually like being a truck driver. You hear all those amazing stories about all the people they meet and the places they see. For once I have heard a new interesting story. One day I asked my friend what it was like being a truck driver. This is a gentleman who has travelled all across Canada and the United States. He took me into a dark closet and said to me ‘This is what you’ll see.’ At first I didn’t understand and then he said that most of his driving is done at night so he never gets to actually experience each city.

There were the days he got to see things, but not too often. He said being a truck driver though is one of the most pleasing jobs he’s ever done. You still have the chance to travel and meet new and interesting people daily. He loves his job, loves the money, and definitely loves the experience.

I know it could be one of the best completions you’ll ever do by becoming an HGV Truck Driver. Little Boy Trucker

A preacher was walking down the sidewalk one day and noticed a little boy sitting on the curb. The little boy would pop a m&m in his mouth pick up his cat that was sitting on his lap and bite it and slide down the curb.
This interested the preacher so he kept watching the little boy and after two repeat performances asked the little boy what he was doing?
The little boy replied, “Preacher, I’m playing truckdriver” The preacher was confused and said “What” The little boy repeated that he was playing truck driver, “You see”, the little boy said, “I’m popping pills, eating pu**y and sliding on down the road”……
